Aloofs

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 10, 2026

This policy explains how Aloofs handles information when you visit the website, create an account, publish content, communicate, or contact support.

Information we collect

We process account details you provide, profile and post content, messages and support requests, and technical information needed to deliver and secure the service. Technical information may include IP address, browser or device characteristics, language, time zone, session identifiers, security events, and cookie or consent choices.

How we use information

We use information to provide accounts and feeds, publish content you choose to make public, operate messaging and safety features, prevent abuse, respond to requests, troubleshoot the service, measure reliability, comply with law, and improve the product.

Advertising and cookies

The Aloofs website may use Google AdSense and other third-party advertising vendors. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, device identifiers, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on a visitor’s prior visits to this website or other websites. Google’s use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on those visits. You can manage or opt out of personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings, and you can opt out of some other vendors’ personalized advertising through YourAdChoices. This policy does not by itself enable advertising or establish consent. Where consent is legally required, applicable advertising storage or personalization must remain off until an operational consent mechanism is available and the visitor has made the required choice. Learn more at Google’s advertising technologies page.

Sharing

Public posts and profiles are visible to other people and search services. We may share limited information with infrastructure, security, analytics, moderation, payment, and advertising providers acting under appropriate terms. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect users and the service. We do not sell private messages.

Retention and security

We retain information for as long as needed to operate the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and protect against abuse. Retention varies by record type. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices and rights

You can edit profile information, delete content, manage available cookie choices, deactivate or request deletion of your account, and contact us about access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, or portability rights that apply where you live.

Children, changes, and contact

The service is not intended for children below the minimum age required by applicable law. We may update this policy and will post the revised date here. Use the Contact page for privacy questions or requests.

Account deletion history and feedback

When you complete account deletion or deactivation, Aloofs stores the selected reason and any optional feedback separately from your profile, with an expiration time 90 days after the event. Authorized internal deletion-history reports may associate that feedback with your deletion record only within that period. DynamoDB removes expired records asynchronously, so deletion may occur after that expiration time. We do not record a reason merely because you opened or cancelled the flow, and optional feedback should not contain passwords, verification codes, or other sensitive information.

For user-initiated permanent account deletions, we retain a restricted internal record for account support and deletion auditing. It may include your former account identifier, email, username and display name, signup date, signup platform and country, and deletion date and completion status. These history records have no automatic expiration and remain until manually removed; you may contact us to request removal. The record does not retain your posts, messages, password or session tokens, and does not extend the 90-day retention of your deletion reason or optional feedback. Known test accounts and administrator-initiated removals are excluded from this user-deletion history.
